These Terms of Use apply when you visit or use Pay Calculators AU. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Pay Calculators AU provides free Australian pay, tax, superannuation and leave calculators and guides. The site is provided for general information in Australia, and these terms are framed under Australian law in general terms.
Free use of the site
You may use the calculators and read the guides free of charge for your own personal use, or for general workplace checks. You do not need an account, and you do not need to provide personal information to use a calculator.
We may change, add, suspend or remove calculators, guides or features at any time. We may also update rates and methods when official sources change, including during the yearly June rates update before a new financial year begins.
Estimates only, and no reliance
Every calculator result is an estimate only. Results are based on the information you enter, the financial year you select, and the published rates and rules described on the site and in the Disclaimer.
You must not rely on a result as an exact tax assessment, an exact withholding amount, an exact super guarantee obligation, or an exact leave entitlement for a specific person. Real outcomes depend on individual circumstances, awards and agreements, employer payroll settings, deductions, offsets, debts, and decisions made by the Australian Taxation Office or the Fair Work Ombudsman.
It is your responsibility to verify any figure that matters before you act on it. Verify tax and super figures with the Australian Taxation Office at ato.gov.au, verify pay rates and leave rules with the Fair Work Ombudsman at fairwork.gov.au, or ask a registered tax agent or other qualified professional about your situation.
This site does not provide financial advice, tax advice or legal advice, and using the site does not create a client, adviser, agent or employment relationship between you and the site operator.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and reasonably. You must not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or interfere with other visitors.
In particular, you must not use automated scraping, bots or bulk requests in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on the site, bypasses security measures, or copies large parts of the site for republication. Ordinary search engine indexing and personal use of a calculator are not prohibited by this section.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, its administration areas, or any account or system connected to it. You must not introduce malicious code, test the site for vulnerabilities without permission, or misrepresent the site or its results.
You must not present calculator results, screenshots or edited versions of our pages as official figures from the Australian Taxation Office, the Fair Work Ombudsman, or any government body. If you share a result, keep the estimate wording and year label with it so others are not misled.
You must not use the site to provide advice to others as if you were a registered tax agent or legal practitioner if you are not qualified and registered to do so.
Intellectual property
The content on this site, including guides, explanations, calculator design, worked examples, text, layout and branding, is owned by or licensed to the site operator unless a page states otherwise. Official rates, thresholds and rules published by the Australian Taxation Office and the Fair Work Ombudsman remain the work of those bodies and are summarised or applied here for calculation purposes.
You may read, print or save a page for your own personal use, and you may link to our pages. You may quote a short extract with a clear link back to the source page. You must not copy, republish, sell, or create a competing calculator site from large parts of our content, design or code without permission.
Third party names and trademarks belong to their owners. Mentioning the Australian Taxation Office or the Fair Work Ombudsman does not imply endorsement by those organisations.
Links to external sites
This site links to official and other external websites, including ato.gov.au and fairwork.gov.au, to help you verify figures and read source rules. External sites are controlled by their owners. We are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the linked site.
If an official source and this site differ, the official source prevails. Please tell us through the Contact page if you notice a difference, so we can check and correct it.
Availability and accuracy
We work to keep the site available, accurate and up to date, and we re-verify rates each June. However, errors can occur, pages can be unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons, and official rates can change. We do not promise that the site will always be available, error free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by Australian law, the site is provided as is, and liability for loss arising from use of the site or reliance on an estimate is limited in a general and measured way. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian consumer law. If a figure matters for a payment, filing, contract or deadline, obtain confirmation from an official source or a qualified professional before acting.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page and will apply from publication. If you continue using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms for that later use.
Questions about these terms can be sent to info@paycalculatorsau.com.
